The most important product that Brechbill & Helman has to offer is the people that work for the company. These committed employees have enabled the firm to build a history of successful projects and satisfied owners. In 1999, Darrell Brechbill and John Helman entered into an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) agreement to pass on 80% of the company to those dedicated employees who helped them be successful. The company provides profit sharing through an approved 401K plan. Many of our employees are long-term employees with over 10 years of experience with Brechbill & Helman.
Another unique strength of Brechbill & Helman is the company's concern for the health and welfare of its employees. This is identified through various programs developed to enhance the quality of the working environment. In 1995 the company created the position of Safety Director, which directs the safety programs of the company, significantly reducing our jobsite accidents. Brechbill & Helman has also implemented a zero-tolerance drug-screening program and a chaplaincy program.
Brechbill & Helman actively promotes personal development programs including a company sponsored, four-year carpentry apprenticeship program developed by the National Center for Construction Education and Research. This program maintains a continuing source of high-quality, skilled tradesman.
